Wenn die Leistung des SoC oft f\u00fcr etwas da ist, kann ein anderes Element ins Spiel kommen: die Technologie der Verbindung zum verwendeten Mobilfunknetz. Forscher wollten wissen, ob 5G zur \u00dcberhitzung von Smartphones f\u00fchren kann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SmartViser, das franz\u00f6sische Unternehmen, dem wir das Analysetool ViSer f\u00fcr die Akkulaufzeit verdanken, interessierte sich f\u00fcr das Verhalten von 5G-kompatiblen Smartphones. Heizt der Chipsatz das Telefon st\u00e4rker auf als ein mit 4G ausgestattetes Modell? Und was passiert, wenn das Smartphone eine \u00dcberhitzung erkennt?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Techniker von SmartViser haben eine ganze Reihe aktueller Smartphones untersucht, die mit Qualcomm-, Exynos- und MediaTek-Prozessoren ausgestattet sind. Sie testeten sie in einem bel\u00fcfteten Raum bei 16\u00b0, sorgten f\u00fcr eine gute 5G-Abdeckung am selben Ort und begannen mit dem Streamen von Programmen. Sie konnten somit 3 Gruppen von Smartphones mit v\u00f6llig unterschiedlichen Ergebnissen und Verhaltensweisen bestimmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Laut den Technikern hinter dem Test gibt es daher 3 Arten von 5G-Smartphones:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">im ersten Fall heizt sich das Ger\u00e4t nicht \u00fcberm\u00e4\u00dfig auf und die Tests konnten vollst\u00e4ndig durchgef\u00fchrt werden;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Im zweiten Fall kann die Temperatur des Smartphones nach 20 Minuten 5G-Nutzung 48 \u00b0C erreichen. Auf diese Temperatur fixiert sich das Ger\u00e4t und f\u00e4llt w\u00e4hrend der gesamten Testphase nie wieder ab;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">schlie\u00dflich, im letzten Fall, und das ist wahrscheinlich der interessanteste, scheinen einige Modelle in der Lage zu sein, automatisch von 5G auf 4G umzuschalten. Dadurch soll die Innentemperatur des Ger\u00e4ts gesenkt werden. Dieser Telefontyp kann 45\u00b0 \u00fcberschreiten, aber nach etwa 25 Minuten f\u00fchrt das Ger\u00e4t alle Anwendungen im Hintergrund im 4G-Netzwerk aus. Der Durchfluss ist dann zwar langsamer, aber das Ger\u00e4t reduziert fast sofort seine Temperatur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Um niemanden vor den Kopf zu sto\u00dfen, nennt SmartViser die getesteten Smartphone-Modelle leider nicht. Diese Sorge um die \u00dcberhitzungsgefahr von 5G-Smartphones ist nicht neu: Wir haben bereits 2018 anl\u00e4sslich eines in Digitimes ver\u00f6ffentlichten Artikels mit Ihnen gesprochen. Damals war von neuen Methoden der W\u00e4rmeableitung die Rede. Es ist interessant zu sehen, dass sich einige Hersteller seither wirklich mit der Frage besch\u00e4ftigt haben, w\u00e4hrend andere ihr ausgewichen sind.
