Eine Investition ihrerseits k\u00f6nnte der Europ\u00e4ischen Union jedoch gro\u00dfe Vorteile bringen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Laut einem Bericht der European Telecommunications Network Operators&#8216; Association (ETNO) machen heute allein Google, Facebook, Netflix, Apple, Amazon und Microsoft 55 % des Internetverkehrs aus. K\u00fcrzlich best\u00e4tigte Netflix auch seine starke Pr\u00e4senz im franz\u00f6sischen Web, indem es mehr als 20 % der sechseckigen Bandbreite belegte. Eine teure Bandbreitennutzung f\u00fcr Betreiber: Sie zahlen j\u00e4hrlich zwischen 15 und 28 Milliarden Euro f\u00fcr die Aufrechterhaltung des Datenflusses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trotz dieses erheblichen Anteils am weltweiten Datenverkehr weigert sich die GAFAM derzeit, finanzielle Unterst\u00fctzung f\u00fcr die Entwicklung von Telekommunikationsnetzen bereitzustellen. Eine Situation, die die Mitgliedstaaten der Europ\u00e4ischen Union ernsthaft zu ver\u00e4rgern beginnt, die jetzt ihren Gegenangriff vorbereiten. Laut einem am Montag von Reuters konsultierten Dokument setzen sich Frankreich, Spanien und Italien nun bei der Kommission daf\u00fcr ein, dass die Webgiganten einen Teil der Internetinfrastruktur auf dem alten Kontinent finanzieren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>EUROPA WILL DER GAFAM EINE TELEKOMMUNIKATIONSSTEUER ERHEBEN<br>\u201e\u2009Es ist an der Zeit, die gerechte Verg\u00fctung der Netzwerke neu zu ordnen. Dies ist jetzt eines der wichtigsten Projekte in unserem digitalen Raum\u201c, sagte Thierry Breton, der f\u00fcr den Binnenmarkt zust\u00e4ndige franz\u00f6sische Kommissar. Vor einigen Tagen erw\u00e4hnte auch Gr\u00e9gory Rabuel, CEO von Altice und SFR, seinen Wunsch, GAFAM f\u00fcr ihre massive Nutzung europ\u00e4ischer Bandbreite bezahlen zu lassen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das bereits ausf\u00fchrlich untersuchte Projekt k\u00f6nnte sich als sehr vorteilhaft f\u00fcr die europ\u00e4ische Wirtschaft erweisen. Es wird gesch\u00e4tzt, dass diese Steuer bei 20 Milliarden Euro pro Jahr der EU bis zu 72 Milliarden Euro einbringen k\u00f6nnte. Nun gilt es, die Exekutive zu \u00fcberzeugen.
